We left Punta Del Este after bidding farewell to Alma and Cecilia. We took a bus for a two hour ride to Montevideo. Ticket was $8 and the bus was very clean and comfortable with reclining seats.
Julio met us at the bus station and took us to his home for lunch. He lives with four other priests next to their church and the Catholic high school. He is so kind and generous and committed to helping provide opportunities for children with limited means. We are lucky to get to know him better. He served a special birthday cake for Mike after lunch.


Julio dropped us off at our hotel- the Alma Historica Boutique Hotel. Every room is themed after a famous artist, writer, or celebrity. We stayed in the Julio Sosa Room. Don Julio was a famous tango singer who recorded for Columbia Records. Here are a few shots of our room.
