Vagabond Hearts

woke up this morning….

“It was sad when the great ship went down….”

Today we went to the TItanic Museum in Belfast.

The building was designed to resemble the prow of a ship while many locals think it looks like and call it “the iceberg”.  It houses twelve exhibition spaces showcasing ship design, the work of shipbuilding, the Belfast economic culture and society, and the stages of the building of the Titanic and its ill fated journey.   It is well done and compelling.

H  & W stands for Harland Wolff the shipbuilders of the Titanic.

One of the exhibits is a ride to show the working conditions in a shipyard.  The heat, cramped, and dangerous conditions workers endured.

Here are the walls inside the building…

And outside to board a ship on the dock.

We loved the Titanic Museum!
