Vagabond Hearts

woke up this morning….

Welcome to Soller!

We walked down the narrow road to Soller, regularly dodging cars, trucks, and scooters.   Stopped to watch some olives being processed at the ag cooperative.

This is the plaza in the center of town full of activity and hopefully a place for lunch.

Missing are the bacon wrapped dates…we were starving!  Potatoes with aioli, garlic mushrooms, chicken with olive sauce, caprese salad and Mallorca dark beer!

In town center near the train station there is a small Picasso ceramic exhibit and a small Joan Moro exhibit.  Picasso had a Soller collector/donor who is sharing his collection with the public.  Miro’s maternal grandfather was from Stoller and loved Soller.

We took a wooden narrow track tram after lunch to Porto Soller on the coast.

People swimming in the Mediterranean!  We To be fair they were swimming and kite surfing in Northern Ireland, too, but this is DIFFERENT! It is really warm here!

A stop at the store for dinner, a long walk home, and a lovely evening.
