Vagabond Hearts

woke up this morning….

“London Calling…”

It has been thirty years since we last visited London.  We felt the need to return.  Little did we know we would find the ” Photographer’s Dream Disneyland Residence” right here on the Thames.  Dick says, “I feel like a dog in the vacationing family station wagon sticking my head out the window then running back and forth between open windows happy and tail wagging!”  Here are some of the views from our living room and bedroom.

The “Old Dock House” is located in Southwark Park just a mile and a half south of the Tower Bridge.  The flat is the 2nd and 3rd stories of this old stucco dock tower right on the shores of The Thames.    The interior is funk chic with a narrow wooden stairway connecting each level.  The wood floors and beams are original to the dock house.

Out the kitchen window you can see the Park and the Angel Pub.

For dinner we enjoyed meat pies and a pint at  The Angel Pub just across the way.

Our bedroom window from the outside.

We’re here for five nights.  We may just sit in this flat and watch all the activity instead of sightseeing.  It’s tempting!
