We met our guide at the airport, Aggrey Elissongko Kisangani. He drove us to our lodging, Arumeru River Lodge. He is very professional, friendly, and informative. The hotel is beautiful and it is so quiet. Our room is really nice. Our first night in Africa!

This is a DikDik and above it is Dick.
We met our second guide, Godlisten Mkonyi at our morning session. He has been guiding since 2006 and is very professional, informative, and kind.
Driving to our first park we saw many things.

Godlisten always pointing things out for us. We named our rig team, Team G. Godlisten would ask us, “Are we Good to Go?” And we shortened that to “G”
Feb 3 Our first wildlife park was the Tarangire National Park.

Our first lion sighting unfurled quite a drama. This guy was lying under a tree. A female eventually walked up to find him. As our guide, Godlisten, describes it we caught them “honeymooning”. The following photo (thanks to Tom and Maggie) is X rated.

We stayed at the Tarangire Safari Lodge. Beautiful views, delicious food, kind people.

Kris and Mike McCarty – Team G(o)!
The next day we were treated to a whole herd of elephants crossing our path.

This place is truly incredible!
