We drove across the state of Illinois and landed at Fisherman’s Corner, a US Corps of Engineers campground.  Our site is on the river and we loved this beautiful sunset. 

And in the morning from our back window pods of Pelicans take to the sky.

We read in one of the campground reviews that the American Pickers store was across the river in LeClaire and worth the stop. We love that show and thought it would be fun to say,”hey” to Mike, Frank, and Danielle.

Mike, Frank, and Danielle were nowhere in sight but those minding the store were friendly and welcoming.  

Onward across the state of Iowa.  We hear there is flooding in Cedar Rapids. Snapped this photo as we crossed the rising Cedar River.
