
The campground is adjacent to National Park land. There was a small creek and a red rock cliff bordering the site.





We went up to the Visitors Center and took the trail that encircles the Tower with a variety of changing views. Here are a couple of guys free climbing.

The Park Ranger said a record for free climbing was set by a solo climber recently. It took him 18 minutes!

Climbing is off limits for the month of June. This is the month for Native American tributes and ceremony. Considered a sacred place many come to tie prayer flags on trees and show respect for their spiritual customs. One of the names the Native Americans call the monument is “Bear Lodge”.
