Vagabond Hearts

woke up this morning….

The Final Leg

We left Riverside State Park just outside of Spokane for the final leg home.

We are enjoying blue skies, the beautiful Columbia River, and golden wheat fields.

This journey had two missions:

#1 was to deliver TigerLily’s van from Long Island NY to Seattle.

#2 was to camp and tour our American landscape.

Although we visited only twelve of fifty states we enjoyed the friendliness and kindness of the people we met in every state.

We stayed in campgrounds of all types.  State, National Park, Army Corps of Engineers, and Private.  We did not stay in a Walmart parking lot.

We have seen the American landscape and fully believe we are in good shape.  It has been healthy to escape the negativity of broadcast news and to separate ourselves from the drama of our presidential election.  We know who we will be voting for and that’s enough.

This is the approach to the Columbia River bridge near Vantage.

Washington is amazing!  Hello Snoqualmie Pass!Hello Mount Si!

Nearing home.

Thank you TigerLily for the opportunity to drive your fantastic Travato across the country.  May you have safe journeys, excellent travel karma, and many amazing adventures!
