Left our friends in Bangor this morning 😔.
Boarded a direct flight from Belfast to Palma Mallorca with hopes of finding warmer weather and new adventure. Flight took two and a half hours and we were not disappointed. 75 degrees, bright blue skies, palm trees and lush vegetation all there to greet us.

I sensed some doubt as we told our cab driver where we were heading. We wanted to go to Soller through a long toll tunnel and uphill through windy, super narrow lanes to Biniaraix, a tiny village. The driver was extremely skilled at maneuvering through the narrowest streets dodging cars, scooters, and pedestrians. He got an extra tip for that!
The house is tucked in the Serra De Tramentana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beautiful landscapes and tiny villages. Here’s a view from our veranda.
Dick and the mountain view…
Francesca our Air B nB host met us and showed us around. She is a gracious host. Charming home with knock out views from every window.

I’ve stayed in hotel chains before where the interiors and art are all the same. I guess it gives one a feeling of predictability. AirBnb’s seem to use IKEA products in varying functions. Maybe it’s required. I think about how all of us have spent hours assembling stuff we purchased at IKEA…a sort of global harmony.
Looking out my bedroom window…

The night was SOOO quiet and the stars were incredible because of the absence of city lights. Heavenly place!
